At the beginning of the school year, due to the ongoing remediation at our campuses, we made the difficult decision to push the first day of school back one week. Texas Education Agency requires us to have 75,600 instructional minutes for the academic year. With the loss of two school days during the winter storm, we had enough instructional minutes allotted to cover one of those missed days.
