11.5.24 - 2nd-4th grade have returned to their homerooms in the Lawson Building as of today.

CrossOver has estimated that work will be completed in the Lawson Building on Tuesday, October 29. We, therefore, anticipate having students and staff occupying the Lawson Building for classes beginning on Tuesday, November 5. Please keep in mind that construction timelines can change, but there is hope on the horizon. Should anything change, Aristoi Classical will provide updates to the community as CrossOver updates Aristoi.  

Art and Music Portable 

• 12.2.24 -The art and music portable build back is complete.  There are a few punch list items to be addressed which will take place during evenings and weekends.
• 11.15.24 - The contractor is still working in the Art & Music portable.  Plumbing and electrical work will continue through Monday.  The flooring work will be installed on Tuesday and should be completed Wednesday.  The portable should be ready for move-in on Thursday, November 21st.
• 11.4.24 - Build back on both classrooms began last week
• 10.31.24 - Aristoi's COO met with the contractor and was informed that the materials required for the build back will be delivered Friday mid day. The contractor will be on campus Saturday morning to begin work with an estimated completion date of two weeks. 
• Build back scheduled to begin October 31st. Anticipated completion is two weeks. 

Front Building

• 11.15.24 - The contractor will install the remaining cabinets and countertops in the four classrooms in building one.  The current plan is to have these installed late next week or early the following week so they are in place December 2nd.

Kinder and Fourth Grade Portables 

• 01.7.25 - The kinder buildings are still in the rebuild process. The contractor is working as quickly as possible to get these rooms completed. Mobile Modular has been out to make repairs and will return to inspect the fourth grade portable to ensure there are no concerns. The fourth grade portable is still in the remediation phase. The subfloors in both classrooms need work which is taking place this week. Once the subfloor is finished, the contractor will clean and prepare the room for scrubbing and then we can schedule clearance testing.
• 12.20.24 - Mobile Modular is on campus today making repairs (door, roof, flashing) to the kinder portables. Once the repairs are completed, and we have clearance from AQ testing, we will resume rebuild.
• 12.20.24 - Remediation of the fourth grade portable is in process.
• 11.15.24 - The remediation in the portables continues and we anticipate this work to be completed on Monday, November 18th.  Once completed, air scrubbing will take 48 hours and we will then retest for clearance.
• Aristoi is working with vendors on a timeframe to restore and rebuild these portables. 

Bathrooms

• 01.07.25 - The new partitions have been installed, walls patched and painted.  There is one temporary partition in the girls restroom in the brick building.  That partition should be in on 1/13/25 and once it has arrived we will schedule installation.  The countertop in that restroom also has a temporary brace until the contractor can return with a permanent support beam.
• 12.20.24 - New partitions for the student bathrooms have been ordered and are scheduled to be installed during the winter break.

Janitorial Services

• A new janitorial service began on October 24th for Katy campuses. 

General Information

• Both campuses have been winterized in advance of the artic front. 

Campus Testing

• 11.4.24 - The Operations team will resume the testing of classrooms that have not yet been tested, weather permitting.

HVAC Units

• 11.4.24 - The four Bard units were successfully installed last week.
• 10.29.24 - Four new Bard units will be installed October 29th-October 31st. Two will be installed in D building and two in E building. 

B Building

• 01.13.25 - The science lab rebuild is well underway. The contractor was on campus today working on the cabinets.  The plumber still needs to install the sink.  This room is very close to being finished.
• 11.11.24 -Remediation in the Science Lab (Building B) is complete.  It was retested and cleared to reopen as of November 11, 2024. 
• 11.4.24 - Remediation was completed today. Testing will take place on Wednesday, November 6.
• The builiding was shut down for remediation, which started October 29th, and is anticipated to be completed by Sunday, November 3rd. (No permit required per the City of Katy)

C Building 

• 01.13.25 - The C building exterior is almost complete.  The contractor should have the breezeway secured today and a few more siding pieces installed.  We are working on a plan for additional remediation on the interior and repairing/replacing the roof. The reception area/student care work will continue on weekends so it does not disturb daily activities/staff/students. Once we have a timeframe from the contractor we will provide an update.
• 12.20.24 - Materials required for the repairs to the C building have been delivered. Work will resume Thursday evening and will continue during winter break.
• 12.2.24 - The work required to repair the C building continues.  The framing is complete on the east side and they are working to repair the remaining exterior walls. The contractor anticipates having the framing finished by end of day Tuesday (weather permitting) for inspection by the City of Katy. 
• 11.14.24 - The permit has been received from the City of Katy for the C building to continue remediation and build back.
• 11.4.24 - Currently waiting on permit from City of Katy. Once permit is received repairs to the east wall from south end to north end will be repaired.
• C1 and C18 subfloor moisture to be addressed.
• C2 and C15 remediation will continue. 

D Building

• 12.20.24 - Aristoi is working with the City of Katy to obtain a permit for the repairs in D20.  Once the permit is received, our contractors will resume the work.
• 12.2.24 - D20 tested positive only in the east exterior wall.  The air sample results were negative.  Aristoi immediately contracted a remediation company to begin the remediation work.  The east exterior is contained per the protocol.

E Building

• 12.2.24 - E building's boys restroom results had no elevated levels of mold.
• 11.19.24 - No elevated levels of mold were identified as being present in the air samples collected in the E46 Classroom.
• 11.13.24 - No elevated levels of mold were identified as being present in the air samples collected in the E58 Classroom.

Drainage Plan

• Aristoi is working with a civil engineer on a plan to improve the drainage across the campus. 

Janitorial Services

• A new janitorial service began on October 24th for Katy campuses.
